2019 is a good year for Zoltán Lux. He earned both his Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Data Science and Engineering (DSE) Master’s Track Certificate from TU Berlin. In addition, in January 2019, Zoltán joined TU Berlin’s Service-centric Networking (SNET) Group, as a PhD Student, where he is currently working on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies with a focus on digital identity related application scenarios. Zoltán is the eight recipient of the TU Berlin issued DSE certificate. We congratulate him for having attained his goals and wish him continued success in the future!

The Data Science and Engineering Master's Track is a specialization area, which enables TU Berlin Master’s students to receive a certificate that demonstrates their competence in DSE. In order to be awarded a certificate, students must complete 90 ECTS, distributed as follows:

• 24 ECTS credits in data analytics courses,

• 06 ECTS credits in a domain specific application course,
• 09 ECTS credits in a data analytics-oriented project course,
• 03 ECTS credits in a data analytics-oriented seminar, and
• 30 ECTS credits in a data analytics-oriented Master’s thesis topic.

Today, there are about 90 Master’s students at TU Berlin who aim to complete the DSE track. For more details, students should visit the TU Berlin Data Science and Engineering Track.
